“I signed, for the President of the Republic to promulgate, the decree-laws that approve the PCFRs for medical and nursing staff,” the Prime Minister wrote on Monday night on his official social media page.
The head of the Government said that the executive is “fulfilling the Government’s program, with the valorization of doctors and nurses”, professional groups that play “a decisive role” in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases, with “an impact on people’s lives and well-being and on the country’s economy”.

In addition to the basic salary, all healthcare professionals will now receive a fixed monthly risk allowance of 13 thousand escudos.
The basic remuneration of medical and nursing staff is subject to supplementary remuneration, namely emergency services, 30 percent (%) during the day and 40% at night.
Weekly rest days and holidays 50%, on-call regime 25%, permanent availability regime 30%, service provision regime in primary care structures 20% and exclusive dedication regime 60%.
